- App preferences and progress: selected interests, completed guides, favorites, article progress, previewed premium guides, and related settings.
- Local app events: events such as opened guides, completed guides, searches, paywall views, purchase attempts, and notification permission status.
- Purchase information: subscription or lifetime purchase status, product identifiers, restore status, and related purchase metadata handled through Apple and Apphud.
- Notification data: notification permission status and scheduled local reminder content, if you choose to allow notifications.
- Feedback information: if you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message content, and any information you choose to include.
How Information Is Used
We use information to:
- save your preferences, favorites, and reading progress;
- personalize guide ordering based on selected interests;
- provide, verify, restore, and manage premium access;
- schedule local reminders and weekly tips when notifications are enabled;
- understand basic App usage and improve the App experience;
- respond to support and feedback messages.
Local Storage
Many App settings and usage events are stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage. This includes preferences, favorites, guide progress, preview counters, and basic in-app event history. You can remove this local information by deleting the App from your device.
Purchases and Third-Party Services
Premium access is processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Payment processing, refunds, subscription management, and billing information are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy and payment terms.
The App uses Apphud to help manage subscriptions, lifetime purchases, purchase restoration, and premium access status. Apphud may process device, app, and purchase-related information needed to provide these services.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App may schedule local notifications such as guide reminders, weekly tips, progress reminders, and premium access reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers only when needed to operate the App, such as Apple for purchases and Apphud for purchase management. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the App.
Data Retention
Local App information remains on your device unless you reset it in the App, if such an option is available, or delete the App. Feedback emails may be kept for as long as needed to provide support and maintain business records. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and Apphud according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Choices
- You can delete the App to remove locally stored App data from your device.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- You can choose not to send feedback emails or include personal information in them.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information associated with the App. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
